Time can make interesting changes in a person. So many things I used to think is true, now I don't give a damn. There are also things that I used to think is true, but secretly wished to be eventually proven wrong,(well, coz I've been watching too many disney movie and wanted to "believe"). Of course it could only be reinforced over time, and I was ultimately dissapointed in what I've always sort of knew. It's one of those things that at the end of the day you wonder what the hell is wrong with yourself.

Anyways. That wasn't what this post is about. Since I don't own a radio anymore, and there's no real place or time where I can listen to one, I've been listening to online radio at work. 988 broke down awhile ago so I found this other station, which features female or female fronted bands/singers - lots of indie (independent) singers. Yes, that's when it gets interesting. It's fun because you don't know what you're getting at all, and can be pleasantly surprised quite often. Considering that doesn't happen that much in my life anymore, I'm rather happy about the discovery.



I chuckled when I first heard this (of course I was at work). It's odd coz I used to despise swearing... now well, I think it is acceptable under certain circumstances (and yes, I swear when no one is around because I'm polite). Anyhows, I googled this lady and found a few of her videos on youtube (while at work). It was sort of interesting, sounded like quite a humanitarian but you could argue that that's pretty lame (except the liquid acid footage). Reading her bio was what got me sold. Gotta like someone who doesn't take themselves that seriously. Her songs are rather catchy, so I'm not sure how many times I can listen to them before they start to all sound the same. It's at least entertaning, and I'm guessing that the reason I sounded so excited about her right now is just coz I had too much coffee today and now I can't sleep

Sometimes all you need is one bad news to spoil your day. Today, unfortunately is one of those days. I found out early in the afternoon that it takes 3-5 months to get my passport renewed here. 3-5 months. I don't know who decided that was acceptable, whoever it was must have not lived in a foreign country, because it is ridiculous. The embassy told me they have to send it back to M'sia for processing. Well, I thought that's what a foreign embassy is for, so you can do things like that when you are away? Doesn't it only takes 3 days back home? What kind of mail service are they using? Pigeons? Whatever genius reasons they have, I really don't care. I mean, how could they not see that 3-5 months is a stupidly long time to be in a foreign country without a passport? Other than the fact that you are stuck the moment you mail your passport out for as long as it takes, you don't have that one piece of ID you need in almost any government related issue. The time has come... I keep seeing wedding/engagement pictures/announcement popping up on facebook. I'm sure very soon I'll see baby pics popping up like spring bamboo shoots after the rain (I think that is the literal translation). If you are one of those who ask, "How about you?" Then you can be friends with my mom. If you are nodding your head and thinking that kind of reality check is kinda scary/crazy but you will shrug it off anyways, we can be friends. If you think I'm conflicted/bitter because of what I hinted at in the last post.. then I say thank you for paying way too much attention, but my head hurt so I might have been delusional. It would be kinda weird though, if I were to return. It would feel like suddenly everyone is 10 years older, with their respective others, career, babies etc. And all I have been doing was learning to live with myself. There is so much catching up to do.
